As heavy rainfall led to massive devastation in southern India, Arjun, a lorry driver from Kerala travelling from Ankola to Kerala, went missing on July 16.
The search and rescue operations in Kerala’s Wayanad entered their sixth day on Sunday, as several people are still feared trapped in the debris after a series of landslides in Chooralmala and Mundakkai, Wayanad.
Providing details about the rescue operation, Wayanad District Collector Meghashree told ANI that the rescue operation is in full swing, with over 1,300 forces deployed today.
“The rescue operation is in full swing. Today, 1,300+ forces are deployed, and volunteers are also present. Yesterday, volunteers who went for the rescue operation got stranded. Today, we are taking precautions to prevent that from happening,” the Wayanad District Collector told ANI. (ANI)
