Rajsamand (Rajasthan) [India], September 15 (ANI): Several devotees took part in the Jaljhulani Ekadashi annual fair that was held here on Saturday on the occasion of Bhadrapad Shukla Paksha Ekadashi at the Charbhujanath temple, one of the Char Dhams of Mewar.
Marking the last day of the three-day Lakkhi fair, a child form of the Lord was seated in a golden palanquin and brought to Dudhtalai, where a royal bath was given to it in the presence of the devotees.
One of the devotees said that the Jaljhaulani day comes only once a year when the Char Bhuja Nath is brought to Dudhtalai.
“The day is very special to us since it only comes once in a year when the Char Bhuja Nath is brought to Dudhtalai and several devotees come together to celebrate the occasion. Everyone should attend this at least once in their life,” the devotee said.
Another devotee said that the year of the devotees is only complete when they witness the Jaljhulani fair, further adding that the celebration brings peace to their hearts.
“We wait the whole year to celebrate the Jaljhulani fair and take part in it. The celebration brings peace to the heart. When Thakur ji is taken for this royal bath, the devotees feel on top of the world. I have never seen a celebration like this anywhere,” the devotee added.
“The Raj Bhog aarti is conducted, after which Thakur Ji is taken for his royal bath. We have been celebrating this for several years. On this day, the devotees also buy silver and gold jewellery,” said another devotee.
The Shukla Paksha Ekadashi is also known as Parivartini Ekadashi when people worship the Vamana incarnations of Lord Vishnu and Lord Ganesha. (ANI)
