Guntur (Andhra Pradesh) [India], August 14 (ANI): On the eve of Independence Day, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP supremo, Chandrababu Naidu, instructed all party workers in the state to hoist the national flag on every house as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ programme.
India will celebrate its 78th Independence Day on August 15.
“We are celebrating the 78th Independence Day on Thursday, and by 2047 we will be having centenary celebrations. Both the Central and State Governments are moving forward with the sole aim of Vikasitha Bharat, Vikasitha Andhra Pradesh by 2047,” Chandrababu Naidu said during a teleconference with village-level TDP activists.
By hoisting the national flag on every house, patriotism should be instilled in all the people, particularly the youth, Chandrababu Naidu said and told the party activists to pay rich tributes to the warriors.
The TDP supremo urged the party activists to make everyone a partner in the development of the nation and to create an impression that all castes, religions, and regions are equal.
Maintaining that Telugus should feel proud as the great Pingali Venkaiah, who designed the Tricolour, is a Telugu personality, Chandrababu said that various leaders had taken different steps to develop the nation in a phased manner. “We should not only continue this development but also take the nation much further,” he added.
Declaring that Anna Canteens are being reopened on Thursday on the occasion of Independence Day, the Chief Minister said that as promised during the electioneering, the Land Titling Act has been abolished, and progress has been made to fill 16,347 vacant posts through the District Selection Committee (DSC). “In fact, we have laid the foundation in the whole country for a skill census,” Chandrababu said.
The current regime has only completed 60 days in office, Chandrababu said, and expressed concern that the state is facing various kinds of problems, including a deep financial crisis. “We are now focusing on resolving these issues,” he added.
Informing the party activists that he is personally receiving appeals from the public, including TDP workers, every Saturday at the party headquarters in Amaravathi, Chandrababu said that the party is moving ahead with a perfect action plan to promote those who have made several sacrifices for the party. Nominated posts too will be filled very soon as per merit, as the necessary exercise is already underway, he said.
Chandrababu stressed the need for the TDP to move forward along with the Jana Sena and the BJP and made it clear that the Centre is extending its cooperation for the development of the state in all sectors. Pointing out that the YSRCP had confined itself to only 11 seats in the last election but won 151 seats in 2019, Chandrababu told the party activists that this result clearly indicates how the party ruled the state.
This is the reason the TDP activists should remember that the government should march ahead with the 1995 model, he stated. Observing that he too faced various kinds of difficulties in the past five years like any other party worker, Chandrababu promised them that he will be available to them at all times.
“We should always mingle with people as we, being in opposition, have effectively faced the party in power and assumed charge. Let us all utilize this opportunity for the development of the state to take Andhra Pradesh to the number one position in the country,” Chandrababu Naidu maintained and sought the cooperation of everyone for good governance.
