New Delhi [India], August 24 (ANI): The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has signed multiple Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with industry partners to strengthen collaboration with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC).
The agreements were signed on Saturday at C-DAC’s Vellayambalam Campus. During the event, S. Krishnan, Secretary of MeitY, also inaugurated a Hardware Emulation Facility at the campus.
According to an official statement, “S. Krishnan IAS, Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), inaugurated the Hardware Emulation Facility at C-DAC’s Vellayambalam Campus. The facility is designed to advance indigenous development, testing, and validation of hardware designs in VLSI and SoC technologies.”
The statement added “During the inauguration, a series of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed to further strengthen collaboration between C-DAC and various industry partners”.
The MoU with Tata EV focuses on Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G), Vehicle-to-Home (V2H), and Vehicle-to-Building (V2B) grid technologies, aiming to drive the development, deployment, testing, and commercialization of these technologies.
A similar MoU was signed with Hykon Group, emphasizing the same grid technologies and their commercialization.
Another agreement with JMVLPS Limited targets the advancement of smart metering technologies for Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI). The partnership with Larsen & Toubro focuses on developing indigenous VEGA processor-based System on Chips (SoCs).
Additionally, the MoU with Aheesa Digital Innovations will facilitate the testing, validation, and commercialization of C-DAC’s CDAC-Rakshak and Darpan VNS systems, which are aimed at enhancing cybersecurity and forensic capabilities.
S. Krishnan also launched a range of Microgrids developed by Hykon Group in collaboration with C-DAC. These microgrids are designed to support the integration of renewable energy sources into the grid. (ANI)
