Manthan Prangan, is a state-of-the-art infrastructure facility, to shape strategic thought, foster innovation, and offer actionable insights in the field of land warfare and conflict resolution. This modern facility will also be available to think tanks and agencies associated with work on defence and security matters. The facility will foster a culture of innovative research in collaboration with other stakeholders.
Nine Chairs of Excellence, aimed at attracting top-tier scholars and practitioners to further elevate CLAWS research capabilities, were also signed in the presence of the COAS. The Army Technological Chair of Excellence, established by the Deputy Chief of the Army Staff Capability Development and Sustenance, focuses on advancing military technologies for enhanced defence capabilities.
Captain Gurbachan Singh Salaria, Param Vir Chakra, Chair of Excellence, sponsored by the Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Information System and Coordination), fosters research in military innovations and strategies.
The Civil-Military Fusion Chair of Excellence, sponsored by the Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Information System and Coordination) and executed by the Territorial Army Directorate, enhances interoperability and strategic coordination.
The Major General Harkirat Singh Chair of Excellence, established by the Engineer-In-Chief Branch, focuses on advancing military engineering technology and innovation for enhanced defence capabilities.
