New Delhi [India], August 1 (ANI): Founder of the Super 30 educational programme, Anand Kumar, on Thursday urged the central and state governments to form a “special cell” to address the issues of students of coaching institutes.
In an exclusive interview with ANI, Anand Kumar said, “We want the central government and state government to form a special cell for students near coaching institutes, so that they can report issues or queries related to any problem, whether it is about their residence or studies, so that they don’t face any trouble.”
This statement comes in the wake of rising concerns about the students’ safety in coaching institutes.
Highlighting how coaching institutes misuse the names of successful students to lure other aspirants, Kumar stated, “It is an old business of coaching centres to publish the photos of successful students on their name. They lure them with dreams to bring them to their coaching centres. Everybody knows this fact but there are some incidents in which they lured students on the name of some teachers (famous teachers) who don’t teach. If in case they are teaching then students are unable to recall anything and there is no progress in them.”
He asserted that once the students pay their fees, teachers also distance themselves from their issues, without fulfilling their responsibility.
“Now, the students have paid their fees and teachers think they are freed with the responsibility and answerability. This is wrong,” said Kumar.
Kumar further emphasized the points on how to choose a teacher or a coaching institute for preparation.
Stating that self-study is the best practice, he said that nobody can stop an aspirant from getting success, once they get into the habit.
Speaking on the deceit with students in the name of famous teachers, he said, “I want to appeal to students to think wisely before investing their money, whether it is Anand Kumar or any other teacher. I urge them to not to go to any coaching institute on the name or on the basis of their result. It’s always the content that matters, the strong content. Check whether teacher’s capability and art to teach is better or not. It’s important to choose the teacher with whom you can connect easily. Such teachers are present in small towns too, so it’s better to choose them. Find the teacher with the best content. I would say self-study is the best tool. Once you get into the habit of self-study, then nobody can stop you from getting success.” (ANI)
