Patna (Bihar) [India], December 28 (ANI): Jan Suraaj chief Prashant Kishore on Saturday joined the protesting Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) aspirants who are demanding a re-examination of the 70th BPSC exam.
Prashant Kishore expressed solidarity with the cause of the protesting students and stressed that the movement is entirely student-driven and that students will lead the protests moving forward.
“This entire movement is of the students, it will be led by the students only,” said Kishore.

Criticising the current political leadership, Prashant Kishore said, “Bihar is the mother of democracy; no Nitish Kumar or leader can turn it into a lathi system.”
The protest has gained momentum, with students across the state joining the call for a fair re-examination process.
Jan Suraaj chief Prashant Kishore said, “Everyone has decided together that for the future of the children of Bihar. Tomorrow all the students, all the youth, and people concerned about their future will sit together under the Gandhi statue in Gandhi Maidan and together a plan will be decided as to how the future of the students of Bihar can be saved. This entire movement is of the students, it will be led by the students only. Bihar is the mother of democracy, no Nitish Kumar, no leader can make it a lathi system.”
Meanwhile, Delhi Police on Saturday detained members of the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) who were protesting outside Bihar Bhawan against the lathi-charge on BPSC aspirants in PatnaThe protesters were raising slogans and carrying posters.
Protesting students in Patna are demanding the cancellation of the Integrated Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024 conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) on December 13.
Reports said police resorted to a “lathi charge” on Wednesday against the protesting aspirants marching towards the BPSC office in Patna.
The protestors are demanding a re-examination of the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) exam.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Patna Sadar, Gaurav Kumar, said earlier that a board comprising five representatives would submit a memorandum to the BPSC secretary on behalf of the protesters.
Jan Suraaj chief Prashant Kishore gave an “ultimatum” to the Bihar government on Thursday, demanding that the issue of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) aspirants be resolved within three days or he will lead the protests. (ANI)
