Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh) [India], September 26 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary Neerabh Kumar Prasad on Thursday reviewed the various Centre sponsored schemes being implemented in the state at the Secretariat with the officials of the concerned departments.
The Chief Secretary reviewed the implementation of the various Centre sponsored schemes and the progress of the them being implemented in collaboration with the Central and State Governments regarding the Panchayati Raj and Rural Development, Housing, Agriculture and Medical.
Principal Secretary PR&RD, Sashi Bhushan Kumar, explained that a total of 22 Centre sponsored schemes are being implemented in the department.
“In 2023-24, 13,366 crore rupees have been spent under various centrally sponsored schemes, and in 2024-2025, 7,899 crore rupees have been spent so far. For the year 2024-2025, the central government has released 8,340 crore rupees as its share for the implementation of the sponsored schemes,” he said.
CS Neerabh Kumar Prasad also reviewed the programmes related to the skill training department and discussed the skill training programmes conducted so far in 2023-24, 2024-25, the share of the central government, as well as the funds allocated as the share of the state government and the funds spent.
“The programs that are not covered in the various training programs implemented by the central government. If there are any, the authorities are advised to take appropriate measures to implement them in the state,” he said.
The Chief Secretary added that better outcome-based training programmes should be organised to provide employment opportunities to the youth, especially through the skill training department. The CS also ordered to submit a detailed report regarding the training programmes conducted so far.
The special secretary of the home department, Vijayakumar, said that three centrally sponsored schemes, like the modernisation of police forces, are being implemented in the home department.
CS Neerabh Kumar Prasad also reviewed the implementation progress of centrally sponsored programs related to social welfare, backward class, tribal and women’s welfare, differently abled departments, housing, agriculture, medical and health, and fisheries departments with the officials of the respective departments.
