Patna (Bihar) [India], August 22 (ANI): Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly and Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday refused to say anything about the resignation of former RJD leader Shyam Rajak and said that the party have always worked for the people.
“We have nothing to say on this. Elections are coming, everyone will see whether to go somewhere or not… We have worked for the people,” Tejashwi Yadav told reporters.
Earlier today, Shyam Rajak resigned from the post of RJD National General Secretary as well as primary membership of the party.
On his resignation from RJD, Shyam Rajak claimed that the party was playing games with him while he was carrying on the relations.
“I was in the RJD and the people of the party were playing games. That is why I wrote (in my resignation) in the letter that they were playing games while I was carrying on the relations…I don’t know anything else except self-respect, honour, and vision to work…You are all journalists, you can assess if I was kept on the sidelines or in the mainstream…I have not made any decision (about joining any other party)…Now, that I have resigned doors are open before me. I can speak with everyone now,” Rajak said.
Rajak posted his resignation letter to the RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on X and said that he was giving up the party post as well as the primary membership of the party.
“I was betrayed because I am not a keen player of chess. You were making moves and I was only fulfilling my long association with you,” he wrote in a letter in Hindi.
The assembly elections in Bihar are likely to be held in October-November 2025. (ANI)
